A song for the donkeys at Eseltjiesrus
We are delighted to present the song ‘Donkiehemel’ (Donkey Heaven) composed and performed by our patron David Kramer and gifted to the Sanctuary. This song and music video, with English subtitles, poignantly depicts the plight of working donkeys and the refuge offered by Eseltjiesrus.

Amazing little place where Donkeys are loved and well taken care of. Wonderful information and interaction with the donkeys directly. Great place to enjoy some light meals and snacks as well.
The sanctuary totally changed my perspective on donkeys, what an amazing experience! Well worth a visit, especially with kids.
